William Reed is the President and CEO of Castleton Commodities International LLC (CCI). The Company was formerly known as Louis Dreyfus Highbridge Energy LLC (LDHE) and was originally formed as the energy subsidiary of the Louis Dreyfus Group, one of the world’s leading commodity companies with a 160-year history.
As CEO of LDHE, Mr. Reed led the buyout of the company by management and private equity investors to form CCI. Previously, he was the founding partner and head of trading for Saracen Energy Advisors, where he was one of four partners responsible for building a fund that grew from $30 million to $1.4 billion at the time of his departure.
Mr. Reed is proud to have served as a non-commissioned officer with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne).
Mr. Reed holds a Bachelor of Science in Math and Economics summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance and accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
